Maviance PLC is engaging in its expansion phase in Cameroon and within the CEMAC (Central African) region with the goal of establishing the company as the #1 leading player in the Fintech and Digital Financial space. Our recent partnership with MFS Africa will allow us to rapidly deploy new products across the CEMAC region and to central African consumers and businesses to the global digital economy.
We are looking for a Finance personnel who will be an integral part of the Finance team and oversee the Treasury Management. This role is based in Douala and will work directly with the CFO to ensure that, Management has an overview of the company's Treasury position at all times and help the growth and the transition of the company to a leader in the digital financial sector.
The main duties and responsibilities as the Lead - Treasury Management will be to:
- Efficiently manage the Treasury Function
- Monitor and manage the organization's bank relationships and liquidity position
- Daily cash management
- Ensure reconciliations are performed from multiple sources of information (bank, wallet, Smobilpay. Ensure bank charges are correctly calculated etc.)
- Investigate, analyze, and clear reconciliation issues,
- Ensure reconciliations are done on a T+1 basis daily
- Prepare daily Net Settlement Positions for Maviance partners
- Manage foreign currency exposure and foreign currency payments
- Play an active role in Float Management
- Support the month end process where necessary
- Improve processes by developing and implementing best practices in Treasury Management.
Requirements
You are the person we are looking for if you have:
- At least 3 years work experience as an Accountant in the CEMAC Region
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant degree
- Experience in a comparable role ( Must have held a position in a Treasury Department)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Additional Professional Certification will be a plus
