Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Accountant who will assist in running the company’s accounting operations. You will be required to regulate and authenticate financial transactions moved from junior accountant and ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks. You are also responsible for the balancing accounts, and should have sound analytical and advanced skills using Microsoft Excel. Additionally, you will need a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, including preparing month-end reports.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support financial amp; management reports preparation
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation and supporting schedules for management accounts
  • General Ledger supervision
  • Guide and manage junior accountants and other staff by answering questions and solving queries
  • Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
  • Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  • Ensure compliance of internal controls and suggest process improvements as needed
  • Work with external auditors to perform the annual audits for all our jurisdictions
  • Good knowledge of ERP

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting / Finance or Related discipline
  • A minimum of five (4) years work experience in similar role
  • ACA/ACCA is mandatory
  • Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization and working in a high-volume environment
  • Organizational and stress management skills
  • Indepth knowledge of IFRS with audit experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience in budget creation for your own department
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company and coordinate training and information sessions
