Assistant Packing Plant Manager

• Oversee Assisting the Packing Plant Manager with administrative. Ensure Liaising and coordinating production with other maintenance departments

• Assisting the Packing Plant Manager with administrative tasks like Packaging schedules and staff timesheets.
• Coordinate all Housekeeping related issues at Packing plant
• Ensuring SAP posting and bag control reconciliations
• Preparing cost estimates for materials, equipment, and following up casual laborers
• Overseeing cement quality control throughout the packing plant process.
• Ensuring that production is completed before deadlines.
• Procuring and monitoring the efficiency of packing plant equipment.
• Updating the Packing Plant Manager on the status of projects.
• Liaising and coordinating production with other maintenance departments.
• Resolving labor disputes, where requested.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Packing Plant Manager.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
• Postgraduate/relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

• Minimum of five (05) years relevant work experience in cement plant.

Skills and Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of cement production process
• In-depth knowledge of the cement industry (local and international)
• In-depth knowledge of best practice in packing plant operations
• In-depth knowledge of the cement packing machines and their functions
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Good problem solving and analysis skills
• Ability to pay attention to details
• Good relationship management skills
