With this objective in mind, we are currently searching for a talented and adaptable individual to assume the combined role of Scrum Master / Product Owner within our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial part in spearheading the agile development process, cultivating a collaborative environment, and overseeing the complete product development lifecycle to ensure efficient project delivery.
Your Purpose:
In this role, your purpose will be in the area of agile coaching and scrum master to:
- Act as an agile facilitator, ensuring the team follow scrum framework effectively.
- Foster collaboration and communication amongst team members, stakeholders and other cross functional teams to drive successful project delivery and product outcome.
Your main duties and responsibilities for this role include:
- Guide the team in adopting and implementing agile principles, values, and best practices to deliver value incrementally.
- Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
- Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and groom the product backlog
- Monitor and report on team progress using Agile metrics
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with stakeholders
- Identify and resolve impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's productivity, leveraging strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and self-organization within the team
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in agile practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing relevant changes.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
MUST: Excellent command of English amp; French Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking
- You have at least 3+ years of experience in a comparable role in a fast-growing/scale-up environment where you have worked on a variety of projects. Ideally in a role within our industry
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master/Product Owner in the fintech or startup space
- Proven success in leading Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software in the fintech and startup space
- Strong understanding of agile principles, values, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.) with the ability to apply them effectively in various contexts.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate team members
- Experience with Jira or other Agile project management tools
- Solid project management skills including project monitoring and reporting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and facilitate open communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Minimum BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Nice to have:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Agile Coach (CAC) or ICAgile
- Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies is a plus
- Background in software development and program/Project management
- Strong knowledge of customer payments and data needs
