With this objective in mind, we are currently searching for a talented and adaptable individual to assume the role of Product Owner within our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial part in spearheading the agile development process, cultivating a collaborative environment, and overseeing the complete product development lifecycle to ensure efficient project delivery.

Your Purpose:

In this role, your purpose will be in the area product development and management.

Your main duties and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, analyses user needs, and translate them into actionable user stories and backlog items.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and provide guidance on scope and priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to define acceptance criteria, review completed work, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor and track team progress, providing timely and accurate status updates to stakeholders, management, and the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business objective
  • Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap.
  • Prioritize and refine the product backlog based on value, risk, and dependencies, ensuring it aligns with business priorities.
  • Write user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Review and accept completed work to ensure it meets acceptance criteria and quality standards
  • Regularly gather feedback from stakeholders and users, iterating and adapting the product as necessary to deliver maximum value.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

MUST: Excellent command of English amp; French Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking

  • You have at least 4+ years of experience in a comparable role in a fast-growing/scale-up environment where you have worked on a variety of projects. Ideally in a role within our industry
  • Proven experience as Business Analyst /Product Owner in the fintech or startup space
  • Strong understanding of agile principles, values, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc) with the ability to apply them effectively in various contexts.
  • Solid knowledge of product management practices, including gathering requirements, prioritizing features, and defining product roadmaps.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies is a plus
  • Mastery of the software development life cycle
  • Solid project management skills including project monitoring and reporting
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and facilitate open communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and creative thinking skills.
  • Minimum BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Nice to have:
    • Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile certifications.
    • Background in software development and program/Project management
    • Strong knowledge of customer payments and data needs
