We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasury Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Treasury Manager at Maviance, you will play a critical role in managing our financial assets, optimizing liquidity, and ensuring efficient cash flow management.

This role is based in Douala Cameroon and shall report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities but not Limited to:

  • Develop and implement treasury strategies to optimize cash flow, minimize financial risks, and maximize returns on investments.
  • Monitor and manage cash positions, including forecasting and budgeting, to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee cash management activities, including bank reconciliations, wire transfers, cash pooling, and payment processing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners to facilitate efficient banking services and leverage opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposure and hedging strategies.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, such as interest rate risk, credit risk, and market risk.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate investments and financial instruments to support the company's financial objectives.
  • Oversee debt management and borrowing activities, including loan negotiations and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls related to treasury operations.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CTP, CFA) would be a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven work experience as a Treasury Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the financial or technology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management, financial risk management, and investment strategies.
  • Proficiency in using treasury management systems, financial software and strong mastery of MS excel.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets, banking operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and attention to detail.
